Garden Construction

Where considered design becomes living landscape

We build native gardens across Greater Hobart—each one shaped by the site it sits on. We pay attention to how water moves, where the wind hits, and which spots hold the shade in winter. The land informs the layout.

Because we design and build in-house, the person who placed that Mountain Pepper knows exactly why it’s there—and how to plant it properly. Nothing gets lost in translation.

Full-Service Construction

We handle the lot: earthworks, drainage, stonework, decking, paths, and planting. One team manages everything. You don't have to referee between contractors or wonder who's showing up Tuesday. We're known for being organised, on time, and easy to have around.

Our crew knows natives. They know a Vanilla Lily’s roots grow straight down like a carrot. They know Leucophyta can handle pruning but Correa sulks if you're too harsh. This isn't just landscaping with different plant names.

How We Build

First, the groundwork. Levels that move water where it needs to go. Drainage for plants that hate wet feet. Mounds for species that need a view. We protect the established eucalyptus while we work – those roots extend further than you’d think.

Setting the Bones

Retaining walls built with local stone. Decking placed for morning sun and afternoon shade. Paths that follow how people actually move, not a designer’s grid. Every structural element is there for a reason and built to last.

Building the Structure

Right depth matters. Too deep and your daisy bush drowns. Too shallow and it falls over next wind. Spacing for what they’ll become, not what they are now. That tiny tea tree will be three metres wide – we plan for that.
