home is the heart;
garden is the soul

We create native gardens that talk to their location and celebrate Tasmania's unique species
Start Your Project

No two Tasmanian gardens start the same. Maybe your site’s heavy with clay, exposed to westerlies, or shaded by old stringybarks. We take the time to understand those conditions—soil, light, slope, and climate—before a single plant goes in.

Water collects near the dolerite shelf. Permian mudstone runs close to the surface. Clay-rich soils slow to drain, full sun from the north-west. That’s where we start, by reading the site. Then we select species that match: native heath for the dry slopes, banksias for the open canopy, lomandra where the runoff settles.

We source from local growers who specialise in Tasmanian provenance, so every plant has a reason to be there and the conditions to thrive.

We select the right Tasmanian native species for your garden; its different soil types, aspects, and microclimates.

Native species suited to Tasmanian conditions need less water once their roots are down. Some of us still enjoy the ritual of watering: but it's a choice, not a chore. Right plants, right place, right result.
You want a team that knows how to handle Tasmanian conditions. We’ve been doing this for years—and we use that experience to work with your land, not against it.

After over ten years of creating native gardens across Tasmania, this is our passion.

We work with architects, builders, and homeowners across Tasmania. Our clients value good systems, clear expectations, and reliable delivery. That’s what we bring.

Why Plant a Native Garden?

1.

Resilient by nature

Tasmania’s native plants evolved for the conditions we build in. Resilient by design: We select Tasmanian species that are adapted to your specific conditions.
2.

Backed by botany

We don’t do generic palettes. Every species is selected for your site and your soil—coastal, alpine, dolerite, clay.
3.

Low-fuss, high-function

Once established, these gardens practically look after themselves (we can help with that). More time enjoying the space, less time managing it.
4.

Built for how you live

We ask how you use the space first—entertaining, unwinding, tending, watching. Then we build to fit. Knowing which flowers bring in the wrens and which grasses attract butterflies. The garden holds all these versions of you.

When a garden belongs to the place, it starts to belong to the people, too.
