Where Geometry Meets the Garden.

This Sandy Bay home arrived with good bones and a garden that hadn’t kept pace. Dated hedges, monoculture planting and a lack of colour or life. The brief was clear from the moment we walked the site.

The redesign brings a native and organic sensibility into a geometrically structured property, letting the two inform each other rather than compete. The internal courtyard, read mostly from above, plays with shape and texture. Sandstone paving, timber decking and layered vegetation intersecting in forms that feel considered from every angle. The upper living areas are dressed with modern art, and the garden takes its cues accordingly.

A custom water feature and a series of feature walls open up the enclosed spaces where growing conditions were most limited, drawing the eye toward pockets of lush native planting. Custom copper discs catch and bounce the light, adding warmth and movement throughout the day. After dark, an extensive lighting plan transforms the space entirely. Somewhere to entertain, or simply to decompress after a long one.

Clean, native and in tune with the way these clients live.
